Last day for sure (not a very happy day for us)

Today is the last day for the blog for sure this time. The other bad thing about today is that Breanna and Desiree are not here so we have to do everything without them which is very hard.
Since two of our people are not here today we have decided to work on just three. Thy are Robert E. Lee, U.S. Grant, and Braxton Bragg. (We chose these men by what we have researched on them)
Everyone has worked so hard on all of the things that you have seen and we are all very proud of all of the work that we have done in the past two weeks. I am sorry to say this but I have to go. So bye and we all hope that you liked our blog and I hope you check out our wiki page!

Finally

We have finally started our imovie that has taken so long to get the script made and everyone to agree with doing the imovie. We are trying to not start cracking up when the computer camera on us. We keep having to redo it but we are getting better each time that we have to start over.
Every time that we start watching the movie everyone starts getting really quiet so they can listen and spy on it. Every one is very happy to finally start our imovie.
We are all scrambling to keep working on the project. Everyone is trying to do their best work that they have ever done. I think that we have to leave so I have to go so bye!

Starting our imovie

Today is the second to the second to the last day that we get to work on our civil war project. Which is very sad because we are all having so much fun with everything that have done and learned in the past two weeks.
Right know everyone (but me) is working on our podcast. I have to finish the blog but everyone is OK with that because we have to do three more blogs today. They have just started the podcast and it looks like it is a lot harder then you probably would think.
Our wiki is going great and we are all working really. I know I have said that a lot but we are working harder than we ever had because it is the last day that Desiree and Breanna will be able to be here.

What we are doing today

Today we are still looking up things about our 5 famous generals. We have found a lot more interesting things about them. One of the things that we have learned about today is, that Robert E. Lee was best known for being the leader of the confederate army. Another interesting thing that we have learned today is that Lee was born on January 19Th in 1807. He was also an engineer for the United States army.
As I am telling you about what we are doing Dimitrius is working on our script for our imovie. Desiree is writing for the wiki. Breanna and Katelynn are researching for the wiki and everyone is working very hard and is rushing to get done before time is up.
One of my favorite things that we have learned today doesn't have that much to do with generals but will tell you anyway. The Winchester rifle that some of the generals used. So I guess that my favorite thing that we have learned actually does have something to do with the generals.

Our work today

OK, I will admit that I was wrong about the last day of blogging on the laptops. Either way wrong or not we are all very happy that it was not the last day for all the work it was just the last day in the library.
Instead of having 49 generals to research we chose 5 of them because it was just to much to tell in one or two blogs an we don't have time to tell about them. Here is one fact about one of the generals that we are going to talk about in our wiki page. On June 15Th 1864 congress allows equal pay for African American soldiers.
The names of all the generals that we are going to tell you about are robert e lee u.s grant Jubel Early, George Pickett,and Braxton Bragg . We are all very happy that we get to look up all of the famous generals of the Civil War.

The last day of all of our research with the laptops

It is a sad day today, the reason is because today is the last day we have to research with the laptops.
But on the good side did you know that there was more than 40 famous generals and soldiers in the civil war. For example one of the confederate generals was Thomas Jonathon Jackson. He was born n 1824 on January 21 in Clarks burg Va. His parents were dieing while he was just a boy. (poor kid). Even as a child he had the mind of a leader. When he was 18 he was put at West Point.
We all want to stay in the library.The reason is because we are all having so much fun with everything we have learned in the past week. This is my favorite research that I have ever done, and I think that all the other group members will agree with me.

The Presedents of the Civil War

Jefferson Davis

Jefferson Davis was born in Christian county Kentucky on June 3. Davis served in the military and became a war hero during the Black Hawk war in 1832.
Once after this war he became the U.S. senate. He argued secession, but he still believed that each state should have their own rights. He thought each state's rights to secede from the union. He resigned from the Senate in 1861. Then he was offered to be the president of the confederate states.
Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln was our 16Th president. He was born on February 12, 1809, in Hardin county Kentucky. His mother died when he was 10 years old. He had 75,000 volunteers when the Confederate batteries fired on the fort Sumter and forced its surrender.
He was apart of the Union. He got nominated for president in 1860. His nicknames were '' Honest Abe" and '' Illinois rail splitter"

Famouse Soldiers and Generals in the Civil War

Today we are starting to look up all of the famous generals. We have learned about so many generals that had a big part in the civil war. We are all so busy trying to get as much information as possible.
For example General McDowell was the brigadier general. McDowell knew his troops wee inexperienced and unready, but pressure by Washington forced him to an offense against the confederate in Virginia sadly his troops were not successful. That is an example of what we are doing today. See you tomorrow!!!

Famous Soldiers and Generals in the Civil War

This week I will be telling you about famous soldiers in the Civil War.

The feelings in this room is so excited to be here and to do this. We can't wait to start looking up all the things and get to do all of them! It is so much fun for us to learn about all of the things because we are all very excited to finally start the project!
